NIFA applies an integrated approach to ensure that groundbreaking discoveries in agriculture-related sciences and technologies reach the people who can put them into practice.
This is a new position in leadership for ensuring relevant data science questions are an important part of NIFA’s science agenda and its ability to address issues contained in NIFA’s Strategic Plan and the REE Action Plan. The successful applicant will lead agency research and education initiatives on agricultural data science, cyber informatics, interagency initiative in cyber physical systems and other programs as assigned that advance the generation, collection, handling and utilization of data for food and agricultural systems.
The National Program Leader for Data science will be a full-time, permanent GS-13/14/15 level position located in Washington, DC.
