Conferences and workshopsTeam of section GIS has organised large number of conferences and workshops in the last 10 years. They have covered whole field of geoinformatics and geoinformation technologies. Workshop "GIS- New Information Technology" have been organised as the first one on January 1994. It started long tradition of the GIS... Ostrava conference. This conference is organised annually and it has developed to one from the largest GI conferences in Czech Republic. At about 200 people participate in this conference every year. We organise annual student conference, too. This conference is called GISacek. Only students present their papers at this conference. It is open to wide GIS community. Companies can come here and look for their future employees.
